I used to have a big 75' x 100' tarp on my 24' wide 4' mini ramp and it wld blow in the air when it was windy like a crazy wave, def helped the ramp if it stays dry, best thing is to make sure you have like a 1-2% slope intead of being level so water doesnt sit on it, like the tarp wld get holes and I wld be out of town n come back and if water gets thru its stays wet under the tarp. But some good paint goes a long way too, Im older and wiser now and have a paint company. If u prime the screw heads w oil primer and then prime all the wood with an acrylic latex primer (no oil primer on wood, or just not a full coat of some gets on its fine, its thick but soft IMO). If u use Sherwin Williams ext Duration matte in a neutral color Or -ben moore porch paint or really any satin, low lustre, or matte ext siding paint works good too. But just brush n roll 1 coat primer and then 2 coats paint and it will last 3-5 years depending how wet it gets or stays and how much its used. I waited too long too paint mine, well I painted the masonite and it lasted 2 years then i added on amd took masonite off and painted and it lasted like 4 more years and I moved. One side needed new plywood when I took it down.

Im making a pot rack for my elderly mothers kicthen and putting it on a pully system so she can easily lower snd raise the pot rack to get pans and put back easily.
